about

I am a New York-based cinematographer, with experience in short/feature films, promos and documentaries.  I studied Painting at Brera Academy, and Camera Operating and Lighting at "Scuola Civica di Cinema e Televisione," in my home country Italy (Milan).  Thereafter I worked as an ENG cameraman and editor for a local Italian television network, while shooting independent fiction films.  In 2004, I came to New York on a journalistic assignment for the Italian TV network where I was employed, and ended up staying, as the opportunities for my DP career in New York were substantial. Starting out as an intern on the Academy Award nominated film "The Savages" (shot by Mott Hupfel), I subsequently worked on a number of project as camera assistant, and since then have served as DP on numerous independent features and documentaries, among other projects. Currently, I have dedicated myself to shooting fiction ..and any project which involves telling a good story.
